Testament to the quality of this artist, for his first solo live outing he was booked for 18 shows, supporting John Farnham through Sydney and Brisbane. In Melbourne he was also given the support to Whitney Houston. He managed to sell over 2000 Cds during the Farnham tour to an audience that had never seen him before. In the process he achieved 6 weeks on the ARIA Physical chart including 2 weeks at no#1 for his first single I Miss Everything.
Like Delta Goodrem & Missy Higgins, Marc Collis was originally discovered and showcased through the Kool Skools project at a young age. Given the chance we believe that he could become just as successful. Everywhere he performs he wins people over from the first moment. As a true musician, Marc is able to perform this album solo, as a duo, 4 piece unplugged or full band. If you listen to his live recordings his vocals are strong and pure just like the record.
Marc Collis was raised first in Elmore, a country town near Bendigo, and then in Victoria’s second largest city, Geelong, a classic case of having to find yourself and invent yourself away from the opportunities and stimulus of the Big City. The Beatles came from Liverpool, not London. Nirvana came from Seattle, not Los Angeles. Isolation is the mother of inventiveness.
